The Fresno County Transportation Authority (FCTA or Authority) is a local transportation authority organized and existing pursuant to California Public Utilities Code Division 15 (Sections 142000-142277, inclusive). The FCTA was created in 1986, when Fresno County voters passed Measure C, a one-half percent sales and use tax, with a goal of improving the overall quality of Fresno County’s transportation system.
