The Measure C Citizen Oversight Committee
The Measure C Citizen Oversight Committee formed with the passage of the 2006 Measure C Extension. It is a 13-member group dedicated to ensuring that Measure C funds are used as promised. The committee checks spending, audits, and reports. They make sure that everything matches the Measure C Expenditure Plan. The Fresno Council of Governments (Fresno COG) supports the committee. The committee shares its findings to keep the public informed.

Committee Responsibilities
Check financial and performance audits for Measure C
Make sure all spending matches the Measure C Expenditure Plan
Review reports, studies, and plans linked to Measure C programs
Annually publish sales tax spending and present a formal report

Membership Opportunities
The committee is looking for new members who care about Fresno County. These members will ensure Measure C funds are used responsibly.
Six public at-large appointees will be chosen. One member will come from each of the five Fresno County Supervisorial Districts.
Members will include:
- Three people living in the Fresno-Clovis Metropolitan Area (FCMA)
- Two people from unincorporated rural areas (one from Eastside and one from Westside)
- One person from an incorporated city outside the FCMA
- Seven community organization appointees
